Beer with Barbara!

I ordered a beer at a bar for the first time this weekend. In German too! It was awesome. :) In Winterthur, sophie and I stayed with Fritz and Edith, her grandparents. They were the ones that picked me up from the air port when I arrived. :) It was nice to see them again! They are so fun! On Saturday night, Sophie and I took the bus to the Albani Fest to meet Klara and her boyfriend Claude. The Albani fest is this crazy festival with live music, games, and rides. It was a fun night.

To be honest, I have not been learning that much german lately because my family is speaking mainly english around me for the first 2 weeks so I can get to know the family and feel at home. I only have 4 more days of english until my 2 weeks are up. I think I am ready. I know that my english/german dictionary will soon be my best friend. :)

Claude, Klara, me, and Claude's half american friend, Larry!

It is 28 degrees Celsius here right now. That is 82 degrees Fahrenheit. I really do not understand Celsius. :/ but I am working on it. I just got back from a walk with Flori, the dog. It was more like a hike. It was beautiful!!!

I am home alone a lot because the parents are at work and this is the last week of school for Sophie and Klara. I am actually really enjoying my independence.  I have had the time to play guitar, paint, write, read, and hike by myself and it is a great feeling. I never really do things like that at home because I feel like I always have something else to do or somewhere to be. I also think That I am eating healthier here and getting a lot of exercise. I have been swimming a couple    times so I am even getting a tan! ;)
